Velvet Speakers(17)

/ About the project

Velvet Speakers is a speculative advertisement for VELVET, a fictional luxury home-audio brand built around a simple proposition: sound should feel as considered as it sounds.

I developed the campaign as a tactile product world in which velvet-covered speaker cabinets sit between audio equipment, furniture and fashion. Saturated colour, sculptural forms and editorial casting turn the product into something intimate, architectural and deliberately unreal.

The imagery was created in Midjourney v8, animated in Seedance 2.0, scored with Suno and edited in DaVinci Resolve as a 65-second brand film.

A Product You Can Feel

The campaign began with a tactile proposition: what if a speaker felt as considered as it sounded? I treated velvet as more than a finish. Its depth, softness and changing response to light became the identity of the fictional product, turning familiar speaker cabinets into objects that sit somewhere between audio equipment, furniture and fashion.

Scale was deliberately exaggerated in the first images. Oversized cabinets and generous folds of fabric made the speakers feel architectural, while the models gave the surfaces weight, intimacy and a human point of reference. The result was less a conventional product demonstration than a sensory portrait of the object.

Building the VELVET World

I built the campaign as a family of rooms rather than a single set. Cobalt, emerald, black and burnt orange recur across the cabinets, wardrobe and interiors, while simple geometric speaker forms keep the product legible inside more theatrical compositions. Glowing drivers, heavy drapery and restrained poses give each frame the same quiet, tactile confidence.

From Still Image to Motion

The still campaign was developed in Midjourney v8, then carried into Seedance 2.0 to introduce fabric movement, camera motion and product presence without losing the art direction established in the original frames. I created the score in Suno and assembled the final 65-second advertisement in DaVinci Resolve, shaping image, movement and sound into one speculative brand film.
